Odiáxere 60+ team win the 2023 Algarve Cup

After a 0-0 draw v Sauchie Juniors and a 1-1 draw v Ayr United, the team completed the group stage with a hard fought game against Charlbury Town. Despite numerous attempts on goal - all blocked by John Munro (playing in goal for Charlbury!), Paulo eventually broke the deadlock in the final few minutes, ensuring a second place finish in the group.
A 3-2 win over Alloa Athletic in the 'Round of 16', saw the team into the quarter-finals, where they overcame Olhão 1-0.
The semi-final saw a re-match against Ayr United, this time ending 0-0 and a 3-2 penalty shootout success to put the team into the final v Solihull Villa.
After another goal-less game, a second penalty shootout eventually saw Odiáxere 60+ team win through 2-0 to lift the Algarve Cup for the first time!
